ONLINE COMMUNICATION

Synchronous and Asynchronous Communication






Synchronous communication basically happen in class when learners and trainers separated by distance but meet at the same time. The training materials and lessons include visual image, video conferencing, audio conferencing and text conferencing. The interactivity is achieved through electronic white board, application sharing and group collaboration and the progress tracking is accomplished by on line testing.


 Asynchronous communication is when learners and trainers separated by distance and time. The training materials and lessons include printed documents, training manuals, announcements and online guidance. The communication is maintained is maintained via threaded discussions, email, chat rooms and group collaboration and the progress tracking is accomplished by online testing and time on task recording.

Scenario:  Synchronous and Asynchronous exist because of the communication gadget like computer and handphone as I thought. If the communication gadget did not exist in world as nowadays, in your opinion, what alternatives should we use to communicate each other today?
